Are there any anti-virus software which is a one off payment?

I need some anti-virus software to go with the sony vaio laptop i am going to get. I was wondering if there was an anti-virus software that i did not have to get a subscription for. I do not mind paying for it but i don’t want to subscribe.

    Subscription is only once a year. $30-$80 not that much per year, compared to a $2000-$3000 laptop your getting.

    I’ve never seen a anti-virus product that’s one-off payment, unless its a fake or really bad and unpopular software.

    Subscription AV products are one-off payments really. It doesn’t automatically renew when your year is up.

    no subscribe mean no update ?
    anti-virus software is required update daily.
    why don’t u try the free version anti-virus software?

    p/s: antivirus software doesn’t include Firewall, Anti-Spyware, Anti-adware.
