What is the best anti virus? Read before answering?

Before you answer, I have read reviews on different ones.

Avast and AVG do not seem to be good when it comes to detecting spyware. While Avast has a pretty good detection rate, its still not good with anti spyware.

And according to PC World, only AVG and Antivir are in the top 10.

I know Kaspersky usually has the highest detection rate. And I also know Norton slows your computer like a turtle.

    I don’t go to links anymore on yahoo ans ………been stuck with viruses from pranksters…………..MacAfee cleans up everything I had problems with…….

    I use a program called SecureIT. I don’t know if they are ranked up there like AVG or Antivir, but I do know that they give free tech support– if you do get a virus, they will clean it off for free. I don’t know anyone else who does that.

    I use AVG for virus protection, I have even tested it up against free online scans such as Norton and Panda scan. And for spyware protection I use spybot.

    AVG while it can detect spyware, it is better suited for virus protection. It is always a good idea to have one virus protection program and at least one spyware protection program.

    NOD32 is the best AV program that’s available for the public!
    i would have to say that AVG is the best for Free AV protection. but, NOD32 is the best AV program out there. although it isn’t free.

    DON’T GET NORTON OR MCAFEE!!!
    (well, both of them just flat-out suck)

    AVG 8.0 seem to work fine for me as well. Try CCleaner also.

    If you have read all of these articles then why are you asking us? Simply put, Kaspersky. It not only has the best detection rate it also will keep you machine free of nasty Trojans, Viruses, Spy ware. It also has a built in proactive defense that keeps hackers a viruses from disabling it. They guarantee that if you install it on a clean machine you machine will stay clean. None of the the free ones can do that.

    Registry Easy is the best one. why not optimize your pc, get rid of the virus.
