okay, i need a good antivirus program that will ALSO help me to get less hacked of my personal information more often.

to make a long story short, somone used my email and then used that peice of information to get my address (>.>), phone number, then signed up for something i didn’t even sign up for! and they were trying to get me to confirm a credit card thingy, or something along that line, so i told them to cancel everything because it sounded suspicious.

my mom was angry because she thought that since i used the computer so much, it was the reason i got hacked, or jacked…

so basically i want to get a good antivirus program that will keep my computer safe and it was also about time i got a program that got rid of viruses.
i googled a good antivirus program and found this.

i like it but i have a few question:
does thisprogram updates itself? or do i have to buy a new program everyyear from this manufacturer in order to keep my program up to date?

What is the best antivirus software for Windows Vista?

Should I start being suspicious of this anti virus software?

I own Mcafee anti virus software and I had it since September. I downloaded items but Mcafee never detects a virus so I thought it was strange since every download I ever made was safe. Another reason is that their site adviser says certain website is green when it should be red. It also do that with downloads too. And recently my computer is randomly freezing up, shutting down,and a while ago it was slow, so I took a virus scan but it said there wasn’t any harm.So is this software right?

AntiVirus Software?
